The Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy 1960s

“Out of an old stable came a house for the chaplain,” according to What the Records Tell Usby Esther Kerry. The Chaplaincy as it was called was the residence that was lovingly made ready each summer for the Chaplain and his family. It was a conglomeration of several small outbuildings that were moved to the site and joined together to form a “charming” cottage” for the summer incumbents.

It stood from about 1916 until 1990 when it burned.
